Vampire Diaries becomes my next Outfit Matcher post!

Since the inception of Vampire Diaries, I had been on the hunt to sink my teeth into a great fitting motorcycle jacket, just like Nina Dobrev's. I think that would make this show blog-worthy... Or at the very least, to help satisfy those who are also on the look-out for a stylish motorcycle jacket!
I eventually bought mine from Victoria's Secret and do really like it... I do have one little bone to pick, however... Despite it being made out of leather, there is no "leather" smell. I miss that.
Some other options are the motorcycle jackets at Wilsons or Rock and Republic. I think the tabbed collar really adds to that tough persona... As though you might button up, grab your helmet and be whisked away somewhere amazing on the back of a handsome guy's motorcycle... Or at least look cool while wearing it.

The costume designer for this particular show is Susan De Laval. She has quite a list of TV shows that she arranged the wardrobes for, although this is probably the one that will push her to the A-List of the costume design world.

One of the photos off the CW website show Elena
with her two main squeezes, wearing a painted on purple/pink cocktail dress. Here is the dirt on that dress...
Suzi Chin makes a great price-conscience option (check out Nordstrom). It also comes in a dark purple hue, for those of you not brave enough for pink. And then Macy's offers something in between...
I found a bandaged sheet dress off the clearance rack of Lord and Taylor's... There is nothing better than finding that snug, "know-you'll-look-good" dress at 25% of it's original cost. When asked where you got it, you can smugly say it's by such-and-such and you bought it at the department store. No need to mention that you didn't pay full price.
Enter Bonnie... Although the main focus of this show is on Elena and her love triangle with the Salvatore brothers, there is no need for Bonnie to get the second rate on clothes... Her quirky and fashion-forward sense mirrors her witchy abilities to cast fires and see into the future. Perhaps that is why she is donning the solid blues in one of the pilot episodes... The short-sleeved hoody is definitely a weekend favorite and at such a low price, you should probably get one in another jewel-tone color. Her adorable ruffled shirt in varying blue hues compliments the hoody and a long necklace adds polish to the look.

In the football scene where Stefan gives Elena a protecting necklace, you can't help but miss those hot summer days, when all you really needed was a cute denim skirt and a tank with a punch of color. Try Kohl's for a bright shirt.

Keeping the accessories minimal is really important when pulling off a look this casual. Her belt is a rich brown, something like what American Eagle or Aeropostale would carry. You can make the outift a bit more retro with a pair of Converse, or you can give a beach vibe with a pair of flip-flops.
